About Pantheon
Who builds it, how contributions work, and where credit goes. This same content is also what Hades' in-app "About Pantheon" page renders, pulled live from this file.
1What Pantheon is
Pantheon is a self-hosted media platform built around three pillars: library management across Plex/Jellyfin/Emby/local sources with bidirectional metadata correction, deterministic block-based IPTV channel scheduling, and a native player across web, Android, and Roku. See the README for the full picture, or try the live demo without installing anything.
2How contributions work
Pantheon is designed and maintained by a single Principal Architect. That's not a statement about anyone else's code — it's a bandwidth reality. Reviewing and integrating a pull request against a fast-moving, tightly-coupled architecture takes real, uninterruptible focus time, and there's only one person doing that review today. Two paths exist for direct code contribution:
- Official contributors — people who've worked with the project directly and hold standing write access.
- Invited contributions — when a reported issue is verified and a fix fits a specific, pre-approved design, the Architect will invite someone to submit exactly that.
Outside of those two paths, the highest-value contribution is a good bug report: real logs, a clear reproduction case, and environment details. Open an issue — a well-documented one is very likely to get picked up.
Pantheon's code is licensed under AGPLv3 — free to self-host, audit, and modify.
