Terms of Service

Covers the Pantheon Roku channel, and applies the same way to every other Pantheon client (web, mobile, other TV platforms).

📜 Pantheon is free, self-hosted software, not a hosted service. Installing a client means you're connecting it to a media server that you (or someone you trust) run and administer. There's no account with the developer, no subscription, and nothing being sold — these terms just set expectations for using software that's offered as-is.

1Acceptance

By installing or using a Pantheon client (including this Roku channel), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't install or use it — uninstalling stops any further use immediately, and there's nothing else to undo, since no account with the developer was ever created.

2What you're actually using

This channel is a display client. It connects to whichever Kairos/Hermes server address you enter and shows you the media library, live channels, and settings that server exposes. All of the actual functionality — your accounts, your media, your channel schedules — is provided by that server, which you or your household controls, not by the developer of this channel.

3Your content, your responsibility

Pantheon does not host, provide, index, or distribute any media. It's a personal library manager and scheduler for media you already have the legal right to (via your own Plex/Jellyfin/Emby library, or files you own). You're solely responsible for:

Making sure you have the legal right to store, organize, and stream anything you point Pantheon at.
Complying with the terms of service of any third-party server or metadata provider you connect Pantheon to (Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, TMDB, TheTVDB, AniDB, or anything else) — those are separate agreements between you and them, unrelated to these terms.
Anything you configure or expose on your own network (e.g. remote access to your server) — that's your infrastructure, your security decisions.

4No warranty

This software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, any warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for a particular purpose. You're running self-hosted, actively-developed software; things occasionally break, and there's no guaranteed support or uptime commitment behind it.

5Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer isn't liable for any damages or losses — including data loss, service interruption, or anything else — arising from your use of, or inability to use, this software. You use it at your own risk, on your own hardware.

6Source code & license

The main Pantheon platform (Kairos, Hades, Hermes, Hephaestus) is open source under the GNU AGPLv3. This Roku channel's source lives in its own repository, pantheon-roku — see that repository directly for the license terms governing its code. Nothing here overrides whatever that repository's own license file says.

7Children

Pantheon isn't a public service directed at children — it's private software an adult installs and administers for their own household, the same as any other self-hosted app. A server admin can set up restricted, content-rating-limited profiles for other members of the household, but these terms are between the developer and whoever installs the software, not any individual end user.

8Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page will be updated and the effective date above will move. There's no account system tying you to the developer, so there's no direct notification mechanism — check back here if you want the current version.
